Platform Engineer

My responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based platforms on Azure or SAP BTP 
• Build and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or CloudFormation 
• Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines to enable automated build, deploy, and release processes 
• Ensure platform reliability through monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions 
• Implement and enforce cloud security best practices, including IAM, networking, and compliance controls 
• Collaborate with development teams to provide self-service platform capabilities 
• Optimize cloud environments for cost efficiency and performance 
• Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, or BTP Kyma) and Docker 
• Maintain platform documentation, standards, and reusable components 
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure and deployment issues

The knowledge I own:

• 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or DevOps roles 
• Hands-on experience with at least one cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS) or SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) 
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code  
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) 
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes) 
• Understanding of networking concepts, security, and identity management 
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) 
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking 
• Automation mindset and focus on scalability 
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills 
• Continuous improvement and learning attitude
