Your responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate releases end-to-end across agile delivery cycles and waterfall-near milestone/approval phases​
  • Define and coordinate release scope, timelines, dependencies, and the required governance steps (reviews, sign-offs, stage gates)​
  • Own and coordinate release communication including release artifacts (e.g., release notes/bulletins, governance decks) and stakeholder alignment​
  • Coordinate operational handovers for deployment / cutover / go-live, ensuring release readiness is achieved before execution​
  • Lead or support hypercare governance after go-live (entry/exit readiness, escalation expectations, reporting rhythm)​
  • Ensure transparency via status, risks, and decisions, and maintain consistency between planning tools and ITSM/change artifacts

The knowledge I own:

Must-haves:​

  • Experience as Release Manager / Release Coordinator in agile and/or waterfall-near delivery models​
  • Strong governance and stakeholder coordination (Product, Engineering, Deployment/Operations)​
  • Ability to manage dependencies, timelines, and release readiness/deployment status across teams​
  • Hands-on support for go-live/hypercare including escalation and reporting structure​
  • Proficiency in release/change tracking and sign-off mechanisms​
  • Tools: ServiceNow ITSM/JIRA/Confluence/MS Project​

Nice-to-haves:​

  • Knowledge of automation for process support (e.g., ServiceNow/JIRA/Confluence workflows)​
  • Experience/interest in GenAI-assisted standardization of release artifacts (release notes/status/knowledge articles) under governance & compliance
