My responsibilities:

  • Planning, development and maintenance of the Thin Client management landscape based on IGEL UMS (Universal Management Console) with more than 10.000 devices 
  • Monitor system health and performance, and proactively address risks (capacity management, performance tuning, log analysis) 
  • Configure and administer IGEL endpoints and policies (profiles, apps, update channels, license handling) in an enterprise environment.  
  • Being a contact for support requests as a 3rd level IT Engineer   
  • Supporting IT projects in an international environment   
  • Create/update knowledge base articles for 1st and 2nd level  
  • Continuously improve operations through automation and standardization where applicable 

  

The knowledge I own:

  • Strong English skill is a must as you will conduct your day-to-day work mostly in English (meetings, documentation etc.), German knowledge is an advantage, but not a deciding factor 
  • Exhibits a strong willingness to learn and the ability to adapt to new technologies. 
  • Correct mindset to feel the responsibility for smooth store operations with 10k+ devices   
  • Takes ownership of maintaining smooth store operations for 10,000+ devices, with the right mindset and responsibility. 
  • Experience with UMS Java Console, UMS Web App, Igel App Portal, Igel License portal, Igel OS11, OS12, Windows Server 2016 and 2025 is and advantage 
  • Experience in managing enterprise printing solutions (preferably Kyocera) is an advantage. 
  • Experience with Azure or Citrix solutions is an advantage 
  • Well-organized, have strong communication skills, customer-oriented attitude   
  • Can work in a multi-shift operation (Monday to Friday, 07:00 AM - 22:00 PM)
