Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Consultant

My responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and optimize EDI solutions to integrate with internal systems and external trading partners,
• Perform EDI mapping and translation, ensuring data integrity and compliance with EDI standards such as X12, EDIFACT, and XM,
• Monitor and troubleshoot EDI transactions, resolving issues promptly to minimize disruptions in business operations,
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and enhance EDI capabilities, focusing on continuous improvement,
• Develop and maintain documentation related to EDI processes, mappings, and troubleshooting procedures,
• Provide training and support to team members on EDI systems and best practices as an EDI expert.

The knowledge I own:

• 3+ years of experience in EDI onboarding, testing, or task coordination,
• Strong understanding of EDI transactions and business processes supported by EDI (P2P, D2F, 3PL),
• Technical expertise needed:
  • EDI (EDIFACT / EANCOM & ANSI x.12)
  • Transport technologies (AS2, SFTP, etc.)
  • SAP (S/4 & TM)
• Skilled in coordinating tests and resolving technical or process-related issues,
• Familiar with EDI data flows and business partner integration challenges,
• Excellent organizational and communication skills,
• Ability to manage multiple onboarding tasks simultaneously,
• Collaborative mindset and proactive problem-solving ability.
