My responsibilities:
Join ALDI’s digital transformation journey! We’re looking for a Java Developer to help design and implement robust, scalable solutions for our business-critical systems. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe, ensuring our software ecosystem supports ALDI’s continued success.
- Design and implement cloud-native Spring Boot services hosted on Azure
- Work closely with product owners, developers, and infrastructure teams to define scalable and maintainable solutions
- Ensure system reliability, performance, and security for mission-critical applications
- Guide development teams through architectural decisions and best practices
- Support integration with existing enterprise systems in a brownfield environment
- Contribute to the modernization of legacy systems and cloud migration initiatives
The knowledge I own:
- Strong experience in backend development with Java, preferably with Spring Boot or Quarkus
- Experience with microservices and containerized applications (Kubernetes, Docker)
- Understanding of Cloud environments (Azure preferred)
- Familiarity with Apache Kafka and Keycloak is a strong plus
- Good communication skills and a proactive mindset
- Fluency in English
- 5+ years professional experience
